A Winter Table — Six Bottles for the Colder Months

This is the time of year the reds get poured — over a long lunch, next to a stew that's been on since morning, with the people you'd share a good bottle with.

We've put together a case of three of our reds — two of each — for the winter table.

Our Tohu Awatere Valley Pinot Noir is where most people start. Bright cherry, savoury spice, and enough structure to hold up to almost anything you'd cook in colder weather.

Our Tohu Whenua Matua Pinot Noir comes from Upper Moutere in Nelson — a Pinot Noir site that most New Zealanders haven't heard of. Clay soils, older vines, and a slower-growing valley that produces a Pinot with more texture and quiet than the ones you're used to. The wine for the second bottle, or the night the meal is worth slowing down for.

And our Tohu Hawke's Bay Merlot — plum, cocoa, and soft tannin — is the wine that turns a Tuesday roast into a small occasion.
