A lighter bottle, a lighter footprint. Sometimes small shifts make a big difference.
We recently moved part of our Tohu Manaaki range into lighter-weight bottles, reducing each bottle by just under 100g.
The results speak for themselves:
✅ 756,000 bottles to transition in lighter weight bottles
✅ Moving from 495g to 390g bottles
✅ That's 47.3 tonnes of CO2e saved in transport emissions
That’s the same as:
🚗 Driving 236,500 km in a petrol car (six laps of the Earth)
🌿The annual carbon uptake of 2,000 native trees.
And lighter glass also means fewer emissions from manufacturing.
Small shift. Big impact. This learning will guide the packaging decisions we make in the future.
