Whanaungatanga - Together We Are More
We know our hospitality peers are suffering at this time. At Kono, home of Tohu & Kono wines, we want to play our part to help and to show solidarity. For, where would we be without those moments we have all shared in a café or restaurant; the raucous laughter of friends sharing old memories, that incredible first bite of a dish so sublime, the first dates and shy stares, the moments of inspiration, or the much loved sport of people watching! Here’s to our cafes and restaurants- sustenance, wine, laughs and love - all key ingredients that keep us coming back for more.
To show our support for an industry deeply impacted, we released a karakia which invited everyone to try to Hold Fast and perhaps take comfort in some of the values that shapes us at Kono. Values like whanaungatanga, which reminds us that together, collectively we are more, and Manaakitanga, we rise by lifting others It is because of these values, we are guided onwards, looking for more ways to show our support.
For May and June, we will donate 5% of all our online wine sales at tohu.co.nz and konowines.co.nz, and purchase gift vouchers to for those restaurants and cafes where Tohu and Kono wines are on the wine list.
At the end of June we will take the 5% allocation from our Tohu and Kono wines online sales to purchase a limited allocation of restaurant vouchers and gift cards from SOS Business. We will then offer the vouchers and gift cards as prizes for our fans and followers on social media. In doing so we collectively show our support for the memory making tables of New Zealand.
No good deed goes unrewarded, we will also give you 5% off your total order.
Simply use the code TOGETHER when purchasing wine on tohuwines.co.nz and konowines.co.nz and we will allocate 5% of sales to the restaurants and cafes that sell our wines , and remember, you will also get 5% off your total order too.
